Tidal deformability of dressed black holes and tests of ultralight bosons in extended mass ranges

چکیده
The deformability of a compact object under the presence tidal perturbation is encoded in Love numbers (TLNs), which vanish for isolated black holes vacuum. We show that TLNs surrounded by matter fields do not and can be used to probe environment around binary holes. In particular, we compute case hole scalar condensate vector perturbations, finding strong power-law behavior TLN terms mass field. Using this result as proxy gravitational future gravitational-wave detectors like Einstein Telescope LISA impose stringent constraints on ultralight bosons due accretion or superradiance. Interestingly, could measure dressed across range from stellar-mass ($\approx 10^2 M_\odot$) supermassive 10^7 objects, providing measurement $(10^{-17} - 10^{-13}) \, {\rm eV}$ with less than $10\%$ accuracy, thus filling gap between other superradiance-driven coming terrestrial space interferometers. Altogether, effects combined 10^{-11}) eV}$.

Recent X-ray observations and theoretical modelling have made it plausible that some ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULX) are powered by intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs). N-body simulations have also shown that runaway merging of stars in dense star clusters is a way to form IMBHs. In the present paper we have performed N -body simulations of young clusters such as MGG-11 of M82 in which IMBH...
متن کاملevaluation of rock mass deformability
One of the most important effective parameters in design of engineering structures is deformability of rock mass. Benchmark of rock mass deformability is the deformation modulus that directly or indirectly obtained. Since the determination of rock mass deformation modulus indirect method by in-situ tests is time-consuming, costly and difficult from executive operations aspect, so it’s correctly...
متن کاملExtended Geometry of Black Holes
We reconsider space-time singularities in classical Einsteinian general relativity: with the help of several new co-ordinate systems we show that the Schwarzschild solution can be extended beyond the curvature singularity at r = 0. The extension appears as an infinite covering of standard Kruskal space-time. While the twodimensional reduction of this infinite sequence of Kruskal-Szekeres domain...
متن کاملStellar Tidal Processes Near Massive Black Holes
Close tidal interactions of stars with a central massive black hole (MBH) or with other stars in the high density cusp around it can affect a significant fraction of the stellar population within the MBH radius of influence. We consider three strong processes that have the potential of modifying stellar structure and evolution there. (1) Tidal spin-up by hyperbolic star-star encounters. (2) Tid...
